Dancer from New Orleans Hello, I am a 16-year-old dancer from New Orleans, LA. I saw Blind Date in February I believe at UMASS. However I don't feel saw was the right word. It was more like a beautiful cosmic experience. Blind Date takes dance to a whole new level and brought a fresh spin to what I had come to think of as boring. I've only been dancing since I was 12 but dancing day after day kind of brought an annoyance along. I was tired of dancing the same old things and was tired of seeing dance companies perform the same things. But on a whim some friends and I came to see Blind Date. And I was stunned. It was a new world. The video imagery, the sounds, the movement, the choreography-it was like stepping into a parallel universe where everything was finally true and alive.
Blind Date is a life to me. It's not just a dance it's a work of the world. Bringing you through every emotion every life every dream inside.
Thank you soo much for such an experience.

Merci! First I have to apologise for my English...I saw Another Evening last night at the Nuits de Fourviere in Lyon.
I used to be a dancer in a children company a fex years ago. I am now 22 and I have stopped dancing. I have stopped being alive too. I am kind of in conflict with the dancer part of me. And it is hard for me to go and see a dance performance. I did not want to miss yours though as I remember when i was a child seing you on Tv dancing on Jacques Brel songs. I remember I could not stop watching you I missed dinner that night. Another Evening was beautiful. Sublime. Deep inside me I could feel every step every tension every balance every silence and every breath. I was dancing with you and felt in harmony. What can I say about it? Words are shy... Thank you. Love your passion.
Merci.
Julienne.
Thank you for Blind Date I just wanted to thank you for Blind Date. I have not seen anything for a really long time that left me feeling so inspired and alive. All of your dancers are beautiful- and amazing in their own way keeping their individuality but dancing together to make the work connect. The message the music the choreography everything was linked in a way that made perfect sense. With the deepest admiration, gratitude, love, and thanks, Sarah
Special Olympics in Charleston Thanks so much to all of you who made this happen. The athletes absolutely had a wonderful time. I brought Trista and Kylie with me and they didn’t stop talking about it through lunch and on the way home. Please tell Andrea and Maija how much the parents and I appreciate what they did with our athletes with intellectual disabilities. It is not always easy to connect with each one of them like they did… Again, thanks! It was a great experience for the athletes and the parents and me. That was the most fun and smiles I have ever seen out of Jessica. Made us all wish that we could have an ongoing program like that for our local athletes. - Susie Gross, Special Olympics Event Coordinator
I recognize almost all of you... the movement patterns breathing foot slaps vocal repetition the athleticism the multimedia event slides poetry visual imagery...the things that can only be Bill Jones.
I felt like I was starting over...going back home.
I danced with the American Dance Asylum in the late 70's. Bill and Arnie were already beginning to move on, nevertheless I had the privilege of dancing in parking ramp dances taking classes from Arnie and watching Bill & Arnie's early work unfold. Last night I attended Blind Date at Princeton with my two college age daughters who dance while going to school to show them MY roots. Nearly 30 years later I understood. I recognized almost all of you.
Thank you for a beautiful performance and experience.
Linda
You Changed My Life I have only had the chance to see the Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company once in 1994 at UC Santa Barbara Ca. The impact of that performance changed my life. I've been a tap dancer since the age of 8 and have always been about a size 12 plus size. I am also 7 different ethnicities, which has always made me feel like I don't belong to an ethnic group.
Blind Date in Minneapolis Hey I'm Eliza I'm 15 and I go to a perfoming Arts highschool! I study modern and Ballet there... i plan to be a dancer someday! i saw blind date and couldnt help but think thats going to be me one day.
I LOvEd Blind Date Dear Everyone in the Company Hi! My name is Roberta and I am 13 years old. This is my tenth year of dance and at some point in my life i hope to work with a company as techniqal artistic and creative as your's! I just saw the Blind Date in Pittsburgh at the Benedum Center on the 25th.
Testimonial from Milwaukee I recently had the opportunity of witnessing your troupe at close range (in Milwaukee),... rehearsing, interacting and performing. Their professionalism and sheer level of artistry newly elevated my appreciation of the rigors of the craft and thankfully re-affirmed my belief in the poetry of movement.
I want to dance too I am a 59 year old Veit Nam vet. I have had many professions and a have couple college degrees. I am an artist back in school studying English Lit. I write a much lots of poetry. I love creative movement. I have three dance classes this semester breaking down walls and breaking chains binding me. I desire to influence men to drop the macho ideas that war is peace.
